The Brief for this 5 house project was to make a large unit for the mother and father where everyone could meet in the evening with 4 individual and smaller units for the childen. The site was in lush tropical parkland and so the design was for a series of villas using combinations of private walled gardens and open park landscape to maximize incredible views. Chinese Swimming Club, Singapore

This design marries the old club with the new facility across the road whilst respecting the Chinese traditions of the existing building. The main entrance is relocated from the side to the front and the corner tower and curved canopy compliment elements of the new building. Internally we opened up the double height void with a new roof light that became a centre light beacon for the new garden terrace. Renovation of Fung House Canopy Central Hong Kong

Using the existing cantilevered slab as a basis for the new structure DCi transformed and updated the entrance of Fung House with a sloping aluminium canopy. Access was still required to the balcony which lead to an ingenious curved cut out that we think gives a little smile to the building.
