Design Chamber International (DCI) have been appointed to design and refurbish Konica Minoltas head offices in Eastern Centre North Point. The project has two floors and a net area of 25000 square feet. Interestingly the project is phased as the offices will be occupied throughout the renovation. The space planning was complex as there are many different departments each with many teams and so the connections between them and other departments were critical for efficient working practices. Project: Cliftons 33rd Floor

Queens Road, Central Hong Kong Project Details: Cliftons provide facilities for training and conferences and in DCI’s second facility for them there are 11 spacious and multi-functional training rooms that easily accommodate 350-pax theatre, 200-pax classroom and 150 pax for computer training. Project: Heng An Standard Life Head Office

Location: Tianjin China   Project Details: Continuing from the successful completion of the sales office, Design Chamber International (DCI) then made the head office in the commercial district in town. The reception is a dynamic curve that easily flows into the different departments. The colour scheme is based upon Standard Life’s Hong Kong offices providing a strong corporate bond inter country, localised by Chinese artefacts and art works. Heng An Standard Life Sales Office

Location: Tianjin, China Project Details: Once the joint venture was up and running we developed a new sales office in the old quarter of Tianjin. The building had a double height space with training and conference rooms overlooking the sales area so privacy was important. We designed special parabolic tents that provide both colour and light and essential working privacy for the sales staff that has proved popular with the staff and visitors. Location: 3/F & 5/F Dragon Air & CNAC Tower, Chek Lap Kok  Project Details: These offices are housed in CNAC Building opposite the airport and were a major departure from the current offices. CNAC are expanding their presence in Asia and wanted a new clean image that expressed the forward thinking of the company and yet subtlety maintained their culture, and roots. Project Details: Following the happy occupation of the HK office Monte Dei Paschi commissioned DCi to make new offices in China with a representative office in both Beijing and Guangzhou and finally when the licence was approved a head office in Shanghai with full banking status.
